Hopeless: Chapter 11

Why do we harm people? You can say your not a murder but that’s a lie. Everyone murders someone, whether it’s by heart, mind, or even death. You can even murder yourself without suicide. I’d rather be murdered by death then to have my heart killed internally. After all, Deaths Faster.
Brook didn’t turn back and knew no one would ever ask. To the world Emily, one of the pale beauties, no longer existed or ever existed for that matter. Brook slammed her door behind her awaking a startled West from his drunken stupor on the floor. “Brook?” Even knowing she wouldn’t answer him, he couldn’t help but try. It’s so hard to give up even when the outcome is bound to be zero. She disappeared into her room as West just starred after her. He regretted ever letting her touch that dagger. As Brook was getting cleaned up. West was shocked out of his thoughts as car lights broke through the shades and he heard the ignition turn off. If West had had little control the house would have been in pieces as he watched who approached the door. With blonde devilish hair spiked to perfection and those blue ocean gems that seemed to pull West down into them and drowned him. Austin approached the door but before he could even knock West opened it up. Austin smiled lightly but it held such a dark meaning. “Hello West,” West kept the doorway blocked not wanting to dare let him in or anywhere near her for sure. Sadly, Brook had picked up his voice like radar and came out. Her jet black hair was in a halfway ponytail with her bangs hanging in her face right above her emerald eyes. Her dark Carmel skin was covered by a silky ruby red button up shirt with just a black sports bra underneath. Like always, She wore her cross chocker and paired it with some shimmery dangle earrings. Instead of her normal blue jean attire she wore a mini black skirt that only covered part of her thighs and a pair of gem studded high heels along with it. Brook glowed as she saw Austin standing in the door way only making West’s hatred grow ever stronger. She leaped into Austin’s arms and he held her tightly to him making sure West could see the look of triumph on his face. Brook unembraced him and she went to grab her phone and purse. She gave West a quick hug before she headed towards the door. West couldn’t prevent the words from flowing out of his mouth, “Hope you have fun on your Date!” He spoke sarcasm dripping off the end of his tongue. Brook growled at him and made sure to flip him off before silently getting in the red sports car. They drove off and West was left there all alone. His eyes went pitch black as he slammed his hand into the wall causing there to be a hole straight through the brick that was layered on the outside. When he finally chilled himself he put duck tape over the hole to prevent cold air and bugs from entering, though he knew Brook would be all but ecstatic at her new style of duck tape patching. At the moment though, West could care less. He fell to the ground and just laid there in the middle of the floor with no damn good reason to live. “She’ll kill me, but like I care….At least then my suffering would end,” He knew he didn’t deserve to have his torture ended nor did he deserve her next to him. Even though that was the case, West couldn’t allow Blondie to take her either, Austin didn’t deserve her heart. He was a snake, West knew it and would end him as fast as he came. He couldn’t trust the guy especially with his most precious treasure. West’s eyes flashed as he sat up. SHE WAS HIS! He couldn’t help but think that. West would be successful or at least kill both of them in the process. She would be his one way or another.

Is it hard to watch
As your last hope disappears
And you feel like you’ve lost everything dear
The one thing you actually want
Is the one thing you’ll never have
And why should you get her
Remember do you truly deserve her
But yet you cant help but want
Desire to possess the untamable
You keep fighting your true ambition
But can you really just give in
No of course not
She’s yours
And you’ll do anything to prove
You can win her too
And she will be your lovely
Treasure
And forever you shall love her
Even if you never win

Hidden Truth: History

To start this off you need a little unknown fact about the battle between heaven and hell. I know your thinking not another religious book, ugh, but trust me just read.

Long ago before Adam and Eve even came to be, Lucifer was still in heaven, and everyone was well happy in a sense, there was an Angel whom happened to be the daughter of Lucifer. His pride and joy as it would seem. Lucifer adored his fiery daughter who seemed to light up everyone that watched her. Not even the Angel of Misery could stay sad. The bright redheaded Angel was adored by all and she never dreamed of replacing either of her fathers in which she held so dear. Lucifer though would crush his daughter’s dreams to stay forever with them both. When he got furious by the thought of worshipping a lower being he would not let it be. Joining up with other Angels, including his daughter’s lover, to start a war. She never felt so infuriated by the thought of her family splitting. Seeing her one true love fight along side her father, all because he would allow them to be. She stood between the apposing team with fury and love in her eyes. “I shall not allow thy to carve away at what we have designed. Passion for each other and yet father you choose to grasp that away from I,” Lucifer looked at his daughter but would not faze. He just motioned for her to move out of the way but she was stubborn and stood. Taking a dagger and handing it to her lover she spoke. “Not willing to destroy myself but not willing to watch my loves destroy my heart so pierce it,” She begged with a smile. “If my father shall live underneath the fiery earth and my other father in the cool lands of the heavens then I shall reside in the middle with both,” He would not do it so she took his hand and pushed it in. He held her, the agony and misery flowing through him, as he felt so guilty for the turn out of events. “Cannot stand to leave her alone. Send me with her. Forgive my sins and let me protect the balance between us. Our only hope,” God loved his children and knew the young Angel’s intentions had been for his love of her. He had not truly known what Lucifer meant by deifying the kingdom of heaven. He forgave his child and along with the red haired Goddess was turned to ash, to live over and over again. She would be the balance between Heaven and Hell and also a weapon that would be hunted every time she was recreated. Not once has she been able to return to her lover always having to sacrifice herself for the well being of earth. The cycle may never end.

Hopeless: Chapter 10

Why do you hurt someone you love? For this question, I don’t have much of an answer, maybe to see that they truly love you enough to be hurt or because at the time you didn’t realize it would hurt. In the end, when you hurt someone you love, it only hurts you in return. How do you fix? Well that’s the point isn’t it….YOU CAN’T…
Fate paced back and forth, she seemed unusually jittery lately. When Bella entered she jumped. “Bells, where have you been?” She smiled trying to hide the worry she had on her face but for what? Bella looked at her suspiciously, though for once she was too tired to ask. Knowing Fate it wasn’t a big deal. Fate looked at Bella with sympathy, something she didn’t need. “It has been three weeks since the party and you have done nothing but search for answers that you aren’t going to find, Bells,” Fate continued on. “We haven’t even heard from West and Brook since you found out. What’s worse is the only news we hear on them is on the news,” Bella couldn’t stand this. Fate was right. How was she to figure this out when the one she needed was off on a killing spree. The town had become fewer and fewer as the weeks went by. People didn’t even leave their houses and Bella knew Brook couldn’t help it. When she saw just an ounce of sin in a person she’d kill them, believing they were unjust. Then again if she didn’t kill them, she’d probably kill herself to sooth the agony she feels. Bella wouldn’t know about blood lust, she’s just a witch. Fate, Emma, Emily, and even West knew the feeling but none had ever felt it like Brook did. Fate’s eyes went back to looking all jittery as she turned to Bella with concern, neither for her nor herself. “Bella, we won’t have to fight Brook or West right? What if I get injured or…or something?” She was hiding something. Fate never was concerned about herself getting injured, so what had Fate so riled up. “I don’t know Faith, I really don’t,” Bella turned to go to her bed, thank gosh Dean and Sam were gone, she just wanted to sleep. Fate turned to leave twisting the ring on her finger. “I’ll tell you when this is over….You and Brook together,” She left Bella’s house quickly, not knowing what to do.
Brook approached a cookie cutter house; just the color blue was the only difference. Her eyes sparkling green, not black but filled with sadness. Something kept telling her she had to do this, for their sake. Whether it was God or the Devil she didn’t know but either way it didn’t matter. Brook was sure this would suppress her hunger for a while especially if she did it while she was conscious. Entering the house without a knock, she headed to the bedroom to see a pitiful Emily, flesh sunken. Vampire, Immortal, Yeah right, with how weak she looked it would be easy to turn her to dust. A vampire that never saw daylight and cursed her tortured existence under her sister would finally have her wish to stop living. To stop suffering and watching those suffer, a job fit for a demon or an Angel however you want to look at it. “Brook?” Emily said with a questioned look. Her pale white body so beautiful under the moonlit sky, Emily’s dirty blonde hair fell like silk to her shoulders and her red thirsty eyes cried for love not blood. “Hello Emily,” neither a tear nor a brief scene of sadness crossed Brook’s face as she moved close to Emily. A dagger in lined with garlic. “You know how to kill a vampire Brook?” She asked knowing why Brook was here. Brook didn’t answer just played with Emily’s hair lovingly. “If a vampire loses enough Blood, it is just like dying from starvation and if a vampire loses the will to fight for their life they will not heal, thus you have killed a vampire,” Brook looked her in the eyes that were dying for just a taste yet she could stay so sane. “You could just go out in the sun?” Emily laughed as she turned to look at herself.
“I’d rather not like being turned to ash and have to feel it. I’d prefer to fall with body intact,” Brook knew Emily could sense the hateful smell that if put into her blood could end her forever and as minutes go by she’d disappear. “Brook Lynn just kill me, I welcome it. Tell my sister I love her,” With that Brook stabbed her heart letting the garlic be injected in. She fell lifeless to the floor. “I’m sorry,” Brook said coldly and left the house. West had been pouring gasoline on the lawn and Brook took a lighter, lit it, and threw on to the grass. “Farewell Emily,” She smiled and walked away to the smell of smoke and the spray of soot.

Hopeless: Chapter 9

Bella awoke to just her lying in Brook’s bed. She was gone, once again, without a word or a single note. She got up and entered the living room. Not even West was around. West, she just remembered. He knew something but what. It is impossible to get anything out of him, in less Brook asked and Brook is just as stubborn. Bella sighed, it was Hopeless… everything seemed Hopeless lately. Emma has been missing ever since the party. Colt and Emily are probably the cause and they are in a terminal depression. Dean and Sam are giving her problems and Brook is giving everyone problems. Fate is keeping secrets now and West, well no one ever knows about him. It seems like he’s the center of it all. Bella felt at a loss for everything. What to do, what to say, for once she felt completely Helpless.
Her jet black hair sparkled as the rain poured down, it rains a lot lately, sort of good it does though. West wasn’t all high in spirits as usual, he looked lost and felt so at fault. Brook’s green eyes glazed over as she turned to him and smiled. There she was, not Brook, but some cursed side of her with black piercing devil eyes and such a powerful gaze. “West, you should be ecstatic to see me, not mopey,” She hissed as violet eyes floated in between them. Misery glared up at them both, she didn’t like the fact this creature takes control of Brook neither. “I’m fine, can we just go home or something,” She smiled as she turned to look at where they were. “I am home,” Leaping the fence, she ran to the house. Amazing, not opened once in twelve years, the door creaked as it swung free from years of being stuck. The smell of Death overflowed her senses and the taste of stale blood touched the roof of her mouth. Not even West could bare this horrible odor nor the even worse sight. “Brook Lynn,” The words echoed as West spoke them, so long since she’d heard that echo. The white walls seemed painted red as they walked through the house. Everywhere you walked a skeleton laid. Bodies of the cops, innocent people, and as you entered the guest entertainment room there laid two more bodies along with a big puddle of blood next to them. Brook’s eyes flickered from green to black over and over again as she twirled her cross. She muttered inaudible words under her breath and West just watched carefully. Angel. Brook could hear that word echo throughout her mind throughout the house. “No…” She shook her head; screaming in so much pain as everything she had forgotten came rushing back. How she killed all those people, her parents, herself, and how West had found her not even questioning anything. West! She turned to him her eyes green again filled with sympathy but then black filled with anger. “How are you part of this, of me, of everything I’ve done?!” She shook her head as it pounded. “How did you know I was there and What had happened? Why? Why’d it happen?” She pleads one last time, her eyes turned green and she falls to her knees in dry, stained blood. West Stood beside her, he couldn’t touch her, didn’t even wanna see the look on her face. “Even demons are Angels remember?” She looked up at him her eyes glistening from tears and hugged him. He gripped her tightly afraid that by letting her go she’d get hurt again. That day, he should have told her to stay. “You said you were evil and undeserving of any kindness,” She smiled seeming to have cheered up. “I didn’t lie. Demons were once Angels…Just a little crueler,” Out of nowhere, she lost all energy and fainted. West lifted her up and couldn’t help but kiss her on her soft light pink lips. “You’re right, but some Angels were never meant to fall,” He left the house closing the door behind him. Misery stood by the gate; she didn’t want to enter that house ever again. The thunder seemed light almost like a lullaby to sing to Gods forsaken children in which he left an angel that can only be called a demon.

Hopeless: Chapter 8

So cold, the wind, the night, everything seemed so cold. Bella walked to the door, seeing West sitting on the floor, frustrated. She knocked and he jumped, getting up and walking over. Reluctantly, he opened the door, “Bella, what do I owe the pleasure?” Bella smiled, she couldn’t be mad at him as she could tell he had been mad at himself as it was. “I need to look in Brook’s room…She isn’t here is she?” West let her in and shook his head sadly as he spoke. “No, she hasn’t been back since yesterday….I’m starting to wonder if she will ever be back,” He sighed. Bella couldn’t help but hug him, he looked so pitiful and heart broken. West pushed her away and went back to his sulking corner. Bella, remembering where her room is, walked in. Just as she thought, the newspaper clippings and pictures of the family all on a bulletin board. Brook no longer let people in her room except for West and Bella. No one else knew about Brook’s pictures and the clippings in which she collected twelve years ago. Brook seemed so depressing back then. Never smiled, never laughed in till she learned how to fake it. West had always been there and as far as Bella knew Brook never had a family so she took her into hers. When she turned sixteen Bella had moved into her own house but Brook was still like a little sister so lost and lonely. As she was going through everything, she heard a hiss behind her. Misery, guess who was right there with her. Brook glared at Bella with such anger in her vivid green eyes. At least Bell knew she was herself. “Uh, Brook, Sweetie, where you been?” Brook walked past her towards the board. “You still want to know where my parents are.” Bella gasped was she actually going to tell her. West ran in, “Brook, you don’t have to ya know that right?” Brook frowned and pulled out a little journal with a dead white rose in between the pages. “Remember this West,” he ducked his head and sat on the floor as Bella continued to stare wide eyed. “My parents, my world, my heart, my soul….all dead, I told you that last time but how,” Brook turned back and held an old silver pistol up. “That night, I was supposed to die and if I was normal I would of,” She smiled so fake. “Yea, if I was normal,” She showed Bella the articles as she read the black ink. “Family all slaughtered, not a single piece together. Body of daughter…..” She paused and sighed. “Never found,” She throws the paper down and fell to her knees. “You know it was my birthday. Yea it was nice, like always,” She turned her head. “I actually told them I did it….they ran, thought I was a ghost and never came back,” She showed a picture a polaroid that she had taken. “Didn’t even have the curtsy to clean it up or remove their bodies,” She laughed and looked over at West, “Before he found me, I had killed every single cop or human that had entered that house. Finally I came to and could think clearly, that’s when West took me with him,” She flipped the picture backwards. “Little Angel, where do you lie, under this blood soaked body of mine,” with a corrupted laugh she fell back. Bella couldn’t help but cry. West walked over to Brook and picked her up to place her in bed. “I’m sorry Bella….I’m no Angel,” Bella walked over to her and moved the hair from Brook’s face. “Yes you are, just in another form,” With that she fell asleep. Bella couldn’t help but lay there next to her as West just walked out. “You only heard one side,” He disappeared beyond the door and Bella fell asleep too. Everything seemed so Hopeless….

Finally you see what I hide
But is there more than meets the eye
If it was just a one sided story it be no fun
So of course there’s at least another one
Sweet dreams for at least one night
Cause when you wake up it might not be right
You haven’t got it all in sight
Missing one part
If I may say
The reason it all
Went down this way

Hopeless: Chapter 7

Bella, dear Bella, you go through so much just to deal with me, yet I tell you not a thing. It’s all locked so deep, like a cut you can’t fix. I want you to, I wish you could….In truth I desire it, no matter how stubborn I am, I always wanted your help…. I’m sorry, not only for the pain I’ve caused but for the trouble you went through just to help me….
Love always,
Brook Lynn
Bella read over and over, looking for a single clue. Poor Brook, she wanted to do something anything to help. She felt so helpless, even with her powers it felt like she couldn’t do a thing. She had locked her door keeping everyone distant from her because of her current state of self-loafing. There had to be a way, a way to awaken Brook, to save her. The letter was proof that she desired to be rescued, that she needed help and could be. Bella’s only problem was figuring out how. “How do I save the impossible?” She asked herself going over everything in her book, if only she knew what Brook was. Bella knew one thing, she was half. Half something but that she didn’t know. There was a knock at her office door, “Bells, maybe you should take a rest and come out,” It was Dean trying to be sincere but Bella didn’t want to deal with him nor Sam at the moment. Relationships would just get in her way. Soon, Dean left with a sigh as he gave up. Bella grabbed a blank piece of paper and started writing. “Brook could be one of the following. She could be half demon but demons don’t have all those powers she showed. She could be part witch…True that seems to fit but she’s definitely more than a witch. Vampire is out of the question, we would have noticed that,” She went over trying to think of more but in the end it came out with demon and witch. If only she knew Brooks past. Right then something hit Bella. “West!! He would know everything and anything about her,” That was true, but how she to get him to speak, only Brook was able to do that. Bella sighed; it was so much more difficult than it should be. She lies down on the floor, she felt so tired. Soon, she was drifting off into a deep sleep as she yawned one last time.
A girl laughed waking her up, “Brook?!” She questioned as she looked around. In the distance stood this little girl with pitch black hair and bright emerald eyes. Bella sat up and walked towards her. The girl giggled and ran farther. “Wait one sec, sweetie,” The girl tilted her tiny head to the side and smiled her teeth white as snow. Bella then noticed everything else on her was white as well. The cheerful girl ran to the swing set but before Bella could get close, she froze. Bella noticed the girls resemblance, to a newspaper clipping Brook had showed her long ago, near the time they first met. The girls creamy tan skin, black hair, and those green eyes. Bella finally had her answer. “Little Angel,” She called and the girl looked at her. “Where are your parents?” Just like that the girl’s eyes went black. Oh, how evil she looked. “My parents, my world, my heart, and my soul….all dead,” with that she was gone and Bella woke up, tears in her eyes. The little girl, the newspaper, and Brook had one thing in common. “Dean, Sam I’m leaving,” with that, she slammed the door and headed to Brook’s, hoping she wasn’t there.

You aren’t really dead
Then what do you call dead
I no longer can feel warmth
My body is numb
My breaths, do I even breathe?
And my heart, does it even beat?
Even if I do not lie in a coffin
That does not mean I’m not dead
I’m just death in the flesh
Suffering even more
When I say I’m dead
Don’t take it so literal
Cause in truth
My death is spiritual

Hopeless: Chapter 6

Why does nothing ever stay the same? No one ever stays happy, cheerful, or just accept things how they are. If life was like that this would be a fairy tale and I’d have nothing to write, because who wants to read a story with a whole bunch of creepy smiling people. That’s how Brook thought. Pure happiness scared her, just someone actually smiling for something so small. That’s probably the reason Brook couldn’t stand Fate all the time. No matter what Fate could smile, for her, for Bella, for anyone, and be genuinely happy. The blood, not hers, stuck to her skin. Brook walked into complete utter darkness and how it made her smile. The scent of misery and blood, the feel of the knife as it touched their skin. She looked up at the stars, each one glittering with its brightness. This was her brightness, ironic seeing as it seemed to be her darkness that made her shine. Brook didn’t hate anyone, nor did she really want to kill them, but some part of her craved it, to make everyone feel what she had felt for twelve years. Brook saw her weakness as stupidity, how she could let that craving take control. It depressed her. She was supposed to be strong not let anything stand in her way, yet one little slit of blood, one tiny sign of misery and she would fail. West had went back home but she didn’t feel like having his comfort and support. West loved the thought of murder and though in fact he could kill the whole town with one flip of the hand, he believed that would ruin the fun. His powers could disnigrate everyone but it was so much more fun to blow them up with his own hands, doing it that way allowed you to see their pain and suffering. It’s not his fault he enjoys it so much, it’s in his blood. In the time he was having fun joining in on the killing spree but as he turned to look at Brook he noticed her green eyes flash with sadness and distaste. For once his heart ached to see what he was encouraging on; it pained him to be so in love with blood that he’d forgotten about her. She didn’t want this, she had no control. In the end it was always his fault. West shattered the glass in his hand and slid to the ground. The cuts from the glass disappeared quickly and the pain was so sheer. “I’m useless aren’t I? Can’t even keep my angel safe, just turn her into a devil,” He sighed and ran his hand through his sweat glistened brown hair. “All my fault, should have fixed this a long time ago,” Brook was still sitting in a dark alley not moving an inch, lifeless it seemed. Bright lights from the cars passing by was the only brief touch of light she got, Other than that she was covered in darkness. It was soothing to her, she felt like it was where she belonged as of lately she knew this was where she belonged. “Where are you? Me? Where am I? Not here? Up there with you, I fear. I was your Angel,” She whispered was to herself. She sat up and disappeared beyond the alley way. The little black cat came out of hiding and followed behind her. Back to the question, why doesn’t anyone like stories with people smiling? Not even Cinderella was a completely happy story. Evil is in every fictional story, just saying happy ever after doesn’t make it so. Human kind is cruel that way. Enjoy pain and misery for it makes us feel better. Corruption, destruction and even the bloody truths of romance, we crave it all. Nothing ever stays the same because without the pain we’d all be caught in a continuous stream of boredom.

When the blood is gone
I feel so alone
Like nothing can sooth me
Nothing can make me feel
As if the world is so dead
Or at least to me
Because of this craving
It’s all I want
No other can tempt my heart
If it all went away
I don’t think I could stay
To replace the blood of another
The enjoyment I get from their pain
I’d end up hurting myself
In the very same way
Because life would be boring
Without what I crave
I could not live with such
End my life if I must

Hopeless: Chapter 5

Almost everyone darted out of the house without a single glance back. The ones that stayed were the ones that knew her and as freaked as all of them were, they stayed. Colt pushed forward with determination to lighten the mood. “Well at least it seems ya killed West,” He said with a smile but she looked at him with pitch black eyes, not a single glimpse of white. West walks in right on cue, hearing the annoying voice of Colt, whom he hated. “To bad for you,” So bad he wanted to kill him but knew Brook wouldn’t allow it, though Brook wasn’t herself and with that he lifted up the pistol in his hand. “Wonder if any girls will cry if I kill ya,” Bella stepped in between. “West, put the gun down. What’s wrong with Brook?” West lowered his hand and looked straight at her, his eyes determined to shoot her down. “Ask her not me. I only do as she says. In truth I enjoy the scent of blood and as you can see so does she,” Bella shook her head, trying hard to not let that be true. Fate pushed through and grabbed Brook. “Brook, you better snap out of this right now. This was your party!” Brook laughed and burnt Fate’s hand with one thought. She jumped not expecting to actually be harmed. “Don’t tell me what to do! Like you have any right, pretending not to crave it, you’re just a halfy. If you were full you wouldn’t be able to keep your little lover safe!” She floated inches above the ground, her eyes targeting poor Daniel in till Fate jumped in front. “Brook Lynn, please,” She whispered as Brook flew back to the ground. For a moment her eyes were bright green and she was able to speak. “I couldn’t prevent it. Just like last time…I…I actually enjoyed it and as much as I wanted to stop, impossible. I knew it would happen again and now….” Just like that, she fell to the ground with West diving to catch her. “West, what did you do?” For once he actually seemed ashamed but not for what you may think. He was ashamed to see Brook turn weak just like that, when moments before she destroyed a house and burned it to ashes. No, you wouldn’t hear it on the news because no one knew. To everyone, that girl, that family no longer even exists. “All those years ago…I only did what I was told, but didn’t know I’d care to see this happen,” He lifted her up placing the dagger in her boot. “I don’t mind killing. I’m a Demon, I enjoy it but to see this…I remember the reason I didn’t go through with the plans,” Brook laid lifeless, bloody and so small, to him this was his fault. All he could do was join her, for his blood made him. Bella stood frozen watching as Brook was taken away from her; to her it was like having her own child disappear. Fate held on to Daniel but still feared for her friend. Colt only kneeled down in defeat that he couldn’t do anything and worst West had to be the savior. Everyone else just stood still, not knowing if they should stay or go after her. Bella straightened up and disappeared into her room, trying to find a solution, an answer to all the questions. Dean walked after her. “You ok Bella?” He looked down at her. She didn’t like the fact that she was giving in to him, letting him comfort her but she did and leaned into his chest. She started to cry as he held her, not knowing that poor Sam watched everything. Sam left, disappearing out the back door. “Sam?” Fate called but he was already gone. Emma forced a smile. “Well at least I got that guys number,” Her sister glared at her. “What? I was trying to change the mood,” Emily walked away, seeing Colt just kneeling there. “Hey Colt, cheer up. You’re not the only one that feels useless. I didn’t even move,” She sat down next to him as he laid his head on her shoulder. Emma got pissed and left without a word to anyone. “I’m Sorry Daniel. I should have said something….” He smiled and kissed her and she bursted into tears leaning on him. It was Halloween night, yet no kids trick or treated and nothing made a sound. It was as if it was the same night twelve years ago and the town was horror struck once again. If only they would have listened, if only West wouldn’t have cared, if only that little girl hadn’t gone away, then that house would still be happy and the family still lively, but ifs get us nowhere. Poor little girl, she continues to die a little more.

If I was still alive
My breath would melt the ice
Formed around my heart
In fear of paradise
My cold red blood runs through my veins
But pumps no life only pain
Death is but only an obstacle
In this game
And I but half way defeated it
But you never truly defeat death
Though my bodies in tacked
And you hear a beat
I’m just a corpse
Living a dead life
I have no hope only pain
Death once again wins the game

Hopeless: Chapter 4

Brook awoke an hour later to the sound of West cussing at the TV. “West? What the hell?” He turned to see her yawning as she stretched her black hair everywhere. “Sorry, did I wake you?” She just shook her head and walked to the bathroom. Moments later she stumbled out with eyes wide awake. “How the hell I get here?!” West shrugged his shoulder as she walked in front of the TV. “West, take a second to look at me and not that damn TV!
It’s my house anyhow and I can kick your ass out,” She skipped back to the bathroom to fix her ragged hair. “So you going to give me that present?” West had almost forgotten. “Oh uh yeah, Wait one sec,” She walked into the living room, her hair now neatly brushed and straightened, never did take her long. “Well?” West ran over and threw the poorly wrapped present to her. She laughed at the pitiful attempt to wrap it and put a bow on it. “Stick to a bag next time,” He growled and laid back on the couch. Brook tore the paper, not even prepared for what was in it. There it was just a black picture frame with roses etched in it with white. Inside the frame stood a couple beyond the years of time in clothes that looked so elegant. They seemed so perfect so untouched and so real, but were they even there, was she even looking at it. West waited silently as Brook stared at the photo blank as always. “I went in a long time ago, about twelve or thirteen years ago. Sorry that I stole it,” She smiled and hugged him tight. He wasn’t prepared as she knocked what little breath he had left. “I’m grateful that you stole it. They were ok about it anyway. Thank you West,” She sat it on the end table next to the couch as the sun raised high enough to shine through the windows, showering the picture with glitters of light. She let him go. “Now get dressed, we have a party to attend,” West got up reluctantly and disappeared. Brook looked in her closet. Why does my head heart so bad, she thought. Shaking her head, Brook began to search for something. No matter how much people were afraid of her, they still came to this damn party. Wish it was already over, She sighed pulling out a layered tank top that was green and red. Not like she had to dress up for Halloween, how ironic would that be? She grabbed a black mini skirt and a black vest. After zipping up a pair of high heeled leather boots, she grabbed her ruby crested cross and put it around her neck with some silver dagger styled earrings. She walked out just to crash to the floor the next second. Her head throbbed and the last thing she could hear was West calling to her. After that her mind went black and she couldn’t feel anything, felt like she was in a deep sleep and it kept getting deeper.

Bella did the best she could to make the house perfect. “Bella, meet Daniel,” The guy, by the looks of it, was completely normal. He had bluish black hair and deep blue eyes. Normal, Strange, human eighteen year old that was in for the time of his life, as long as he stayed with Fate. “Hello Daniel, I’m glad to see that you’re taking good care of our faith,” with that as her final words she walked away. She grumbled at the thought that once again Brook would probably be unimpressed by her amazing decorating skills. She happened to be a witch and still using all her powers in the world couldn’t impress that dark temptress. “Why does it matter? Everyone else seems to love them,” Too loud for their own good, Emma and Emily ran in. Emma was the blonde with pink streaks in her hair while Emily had dirty blonde with baby blue streaks. They both had the same round gold eyes and sharp fangs as they were twin vamps. “Bella, Like oh my gosh…This guy is so…” Emma cut in. “Fucking hot, He’s so mine,” Emily glared at her twin sister with fire filled eyes. “You got the last guy and besides you’re with Colt,” Emma snorted and turned away as if it was a joke. “Like hell I am. It’s so over with us. You see that tramp over there dressed as a cheerleader…Yeah she’d be the reason,” Emily just smiled that was normal for them to break up all the time. “Please Emily, I need this one!” She begged with golden puppy dog eyes. She just couldn’t resist her lovesick sister. “Fine, like it matters you’d end up taking him anyway,” Clapping her hands she ran off, running into Colt along the way. “Hello babe, what’s up?” Emma popped him without a thought and slammed her heel into his toe. “Ask your partner in crime that? You two seem to fuck every living thing,” Colt watched as she walked off, expecting her to come crawling back again sooner or later, but damn did it hurt every time they broke up. Another guy walked up and grabbed his shoulder. “Why is it every time we come to visit you seemed to get hurt?” Colt grinned as he looked up at a tall, tanned guy about twenty with brunette hair highlighted with blonde and sparkling blue eyes. His brother stood with hair that covered his eyes in dark brown strands and lighter blue eyes. “Dean, Sam you guys came! Brook will love it though I think Bella might more,” He winked pointing over at a hectic little Mexican working her ass off to make things perfect. The lights flickered as they heard screams pierce the air. Everyone froze as the neon lights showed the door way. Who of all people stood there, Blood covering every inch off her caramel skin and holding a shimmery silver dagger dripping in red? “Brook Lynn?” Bella’s voice barely audible spoke with deep concern and fear.

Hopeless: Chapter 3

Brook yawned as she awoke before the sun had even risen above. Her green eyes wide but showed no sign of the hard sleepless night she had had. Brook stretched as she slipped her ripped up jeans over her legs and put a belt on that had a broken silver heart as the buckle. She pulled of the tank top and walked to the closet looking for a shirt she could wear. Soon she found a dark purple polo shirt and slipped it on. Unbuttoning a few useless buttons, she zipped up her boots and exited the room. Creeping across the floor, she tried her best not to let her heels make a single sound. Bella could be a little too observant and Brook didn’t feel like anymore questions, she wouldn’t have Fate to save her ass every time. Finally, she slipped out the front door in to the quiet morning. “Of course, what kind of sane person would be up at three in the morning,” she mumbled to herself as a meow seemed to answer her question. “Mizy, there you are! Where the hell have you been?” the little black cat’s violet eyes sparkled as she purred, running to Brook. “Ok Misery, you’re forgiven,” Misery purred and rubbed against her legs. “Well guess we should go,” The cat watched her attentively, not letting one movement of her get out of sight. Misery had always been there, since she was four. Brook could remember opening the white tied ribbon and putting it in her hair as the little black kitten jumped out. Evil little thing she had been, to everyone but Brook, whom loved her very much. She could remember how she stood out in all the white she had in her room. She loved the color white back then, now it’s nothing but a death sentence. They walked together down the tree arched streets with barely any light but the fading moon. Every house they passed looked just like the other just a different, strange color. She hated similarity, something that people seemed to love; then again she hated people as well. All continued to be the same in this perfect neighborhood, except one. This one stood high enough to touch the moon and use its light as its own street lamp. The paint was worn off but you could tell the ivory colored paint use to be a pure white. The shutters, now swinging from hinges and the doors boarded shut had all once been a bluish black. This once beautiful mansion stood unloved and falling apart, crying to have its windows unlocked to let the moon or sun shine through showering its vast halls in sparkles of light. Too bad that won’t happen. To open those doors and break out the boards would be like letting the world be tainted by its horror, for inside that once pure white home still lays red streaked across the sparkling tile and hand painted walls. Outside that broken hearted mansion sits an equally dying swing set for one little short tempered but innocent girl that died in that house. “That poor house weeps ya know?” Brook turned along with Misery to see an old man walking by. She watched as he smiled and turned back to the house. “It weeps for the family, it weeps to be loved, but mainly it weeps for that sweet little girl to come back home,” Brook turned her gaze and Misery comforted her by pushing against her legs. “Where is the little girl?” The man frowned as he tried to remember. He looked at her and caught her gaze. “She’s gone. Maybe dead, maybe alive. Never found….Her body wasn’t but no one said a word. The cops that went in there, all dead. Horror stricken, the whole town was. After that no one walked in, left everything as it is. Didn’t even remove the bodies,” Brook wasn’t shocked. Humans only cared about themselves. Most couldn’t or wouldn’t give a dime to do anything. She stayed silent as the man walked past. Before she could pull away, she fell to her knees, clawing deep, trying to stop the tears. Her green eyes looked up into the sky with anger and pure hopelessness. She gave up and fell the rest of the way to the ground. She heard Misery’s meow and felt the warmth of someone pick her up. “I’m Sorry West,” He only shushed her as she started to fall asleep laying her head on his shoulder. “You always come…You always have. Why?” Brook yawned and started to drift off. “Because even the Angel of misery needs protecting,” Brook laughed very weakly. “Angel….Yeah right,” after that she was asleep as he carried her to the car. He laid her in the back and misery hopped in, watching West evilly. “Chill cat, I ain’t going to hurt her. Thought you’d learn that by now,” He cursed the cat under his breath as he drove off. Brook kept dreaming over and over again of a pure white dress and ribbon stained with blood and the little girl that would never return.

Upon a hill
Past the light
Sits a big old house
Painted in white
It cries and weeps
But no one hears
The painful creaks
Of the wood that’s hollow
A little girl walks near the gate
With eyes of innocence
As it gets late
A question just one she asks the house
Why do you weep?
She says in a voice as quiet as a mouse
And as if the world has finally opened
The house replies with a heart that’s broken
I cry for the one that left this here
A little white ribbon she holds so dear
And as if it was a dream she disappears
Poor big white house
Left in tears

Hopeless: Chapter 2

The storm only seemed to get worse. Lightning flashed one after another. The thunder shook the house making Bella jump. “Seriously! A storm the day before Halloween…I just hope it clears up before tomorrow night,” She tied her black hair up in a high ponytail letting the blue streaks shine through. “I’ll make this house sparkle!” She smiled in till someone knocked on the door. “I was just about to start,” She growled as she opened the door with a scowl on her face. On the other side of it stood a drenching wet Brook, her green eyes sparkling behind the blackness of her bangs. Bella shook her head with a smile. Brook grinned innocently. “Hey Bells, mind if I come in,” Bella rolled her deep brown eyes and stepped aside for her to come in. “What, you expect me to say no?” Brook walked in soaking wet making Bella freak out. “Wait one second!” She disappeared just to bring back a towel five seconds later. “Here,” Brook laughed and grabbed the dark blue towel from her. Roughly, she dried her hair. “You’re such a neat freak!” Bella sighed and went to the kitchen. Brook jumped on to the couch. “You want a drink, Brooks?” Brook looked up at Bella holding a Sunkist above her. “Hell yes!” She grabbed it and twisted the cap, chugging it down. Bella let her finish and faced her. “So you want to tell me what you want?” Brook’s eyes looked at her with an empty gaze. “Brook Lynn, don’t look at me like that and answer me. You know I’m here for you,” Brook smiled and sat her drink on the clear coffee table. “Bells,” She spoke sweetly. “I’m fine…For the final time,” Bella turned away and walked to the door. “Fate’s here anyway,” Brook stood amazed as the purple haired high sprung girl flew in, literally! “AHHHH, Brook’s here too! Yeah!”Bella rolled her eyes annoyed, while Brook laughed her ass off. “Hello to you too, Faith,” Fate hated her real name and Brook loved to edge the usually good tempered girl. “Brook…Be nice. Ok Fate, what is it you’re so excited for?” Fate’s equally purple eyes glowed as she tried to hold her excitement. Brook laid back. “Yeah Fate, What’s got you more upbeat than usual?” She smiled showing two sharp teeth. “I met this guy and…” Brook jumped up and started to walk out of the room. “I should have figured. Another victim huh Fate?” She stuck her tongue out in mockery. “Not everyone has it as easy as you Brook Lynn,” Brook stopped, turning around with fury in her eyes but a smile on her face. “And what, may I ask, does that mean?” Fate grinned and crossed her arms as she looked at her. “You know full well Angel girl,” Brook’s eyes went black in till she calmed herself down. “Dear Faith, how do you expect to stay in a relationship when you want to suck the blood of every guy you see,” Fate froze and glared deeply as her eyes turned red. “How could you be so cruel?!” Brook smiled as Bella froze with worry. “You’re the one calling me Angel and making assumptions,” Fate’s fangs grew and she walked toward her as Brook motioned her forward. Bella jumped up in between the fire that was blazing. “Brook Lynn! Faith Destin! Both of you sit down NOW!” Fate’s eyes turned back and they both obediently sat down. “Now you listen here…If you two do not learn to get along you are not allowed in my house ever again!” Their mouths flew open and after a few moments of shock they started to crack up laughing. “You are so cute Bella,” Fate giggled and Brook leaned against her. “Yeah, you acted all fucking serious,” Bella just glared at them both and crossed her arms. “Forget you both then,” She said in her Mexican accent. They both frowned. “We love you Bells!” They spoke in chorus. She turned around as they hugged her. “You’re our loving Spanish witch,” She smiled. Brook stopped hugging her and walked toward one of the guest rooms. “Mind if I stay. I don’t want to wake West up,” Fate giggled as she whispered. “Like he cares,” Brook shot a nasty look at her. Bella just nodded at Brook with a smile. “Of course sweetheart,” Brook disappeared behind the door. Fate looked over at Bella seeing the worry on her face. “Bells?” She shook her head coming out of her trance. “What is it that’s so horrible? I know she’s hiding something, her and West,” Fate looked down on her smaller friend with concern. “Brook does well on her own and she has West,” Bella just nodded. In truth, she didn’t believe West was the best person to help her. Fate waved as she walked out the door. The sky went black as Bella yawned and went to bed. “Guess I’ll clean tomorrow,”

Hopeless: Chapter 1

(12 years later, well sort of)
She twirled her black hair around her finger waiting patiently for the bell to ring, if you call snapping at everyone that speaks to her patient. Everyone scooted far away from the punk rock dressed girl that seemed determined to kill them all with one look. Brook sighed, I always have to be so cruel but damn people get on my nerves, she hissed as the bell finally rang and she darted out. The students stepped aside letting her pass as they stood in awe. “Move it Assholes!”There came a voice Brook knew all too well. She didn’t take one look back till he finally caught up with her. She couldn’t help but smile when he appeared. His brunette hair glistened as it was spiked up wildly, but for some reason a good look on him, and his black eyes wide. “Seriously can’t you slow down,” She laughed and people stopped in their tracks shocked, the boy only looked irritated. “I’m sorry West, but you asked such a stupid question,” West pushed past her, “Fine guess you don’t get your present then,” She stopped laughing and chased after him, “It was a joke West come on,” She smiled sweetly and he sighed, “I’ll give it to you at home,” She rolled her eyes, “F you too then!” He ignored her and left. Brook shrugged it off, I have to go to Bell’s house anyway, she thought. She looked around for her car but finally figured out she’d have to walk seeing as West hot-wired her car again. “I swear when I get home he’ll be buried in the backyard!” She snarled to herself. “I’ll help you with that if you need sweetie,” she turned and tried so hard not to smile. “Well if it isn’t our own little man whore…How you been Colt?” The blonde boy ran his hand through his long bangs that covered his pale blue eyes. “Not much, the usual, I guess,” He leaned closer to her, “Just been missing you,” She pushed him away and laughed. “Missed getting your ass beat I guess,” He smiled showing his perfectly straight teeth, “As long as you’re the one doing the beating,” She turned to walk away, “Sorry Colt I can’t talk. I have to walk to Bella’s place,” He grinned as he watched her walk away, “See you for your party then,” He called after her as she disappeared into the suburban land.
The sky darkened quick with clouds that threatened the earth with sounds of thunder. She could smell the rain trying to pour down and drench the world. She smiled waiting for it to cool her off but soon her smile faded and her face drew blank as she approached the graveyard. Brook entered and walked toward two beautiful tombstones that towered above. She kneeled down and gave her best smile filled with bitter sweet sadness. She picked up two dead roses and through them away and pulled out two more from her bag she had been dragging along. Brook placed them on each tombstone as she ran her hand across a sparkly marble grave between the towering crosses lined with gold. “I should be here with you both,” She traced the words that were engraved into the small marble stone. “If I lied here, I bet you wouldn’t even be here. I’m heartless, in truth a part of me is here,” She stood up as lightning flashed, “I loved you, if only I wasn’t so cursed,” She couldn’t help but let tears fall as the rain finally fell down allowing her comfort to cry away. At least this way no one would know she had cried. How she hated to show emotion. Brook stopped crying and turned around to look back at the graveyard one last time, “I’m sorry you lost your sweet angel,” She walked away. Her tears replaced with rain and her sadness replaced with uncaring. How could an angel turn so fiercely into a devil, but then again even death was an angel.

Hopeless: Prologue

Children laughed as the moon rose high, so full in the pitch black sky. Halloween, a holiday full of fun and laughter along with shrills and squeals, depending on how you look at it, but for a little girl in the mansion on the hill it was much more. The little girl with a pure white ribbon tying part of her jet black hair was celebrating her sixth birthday. Her mother and father both smiled as they watched her twirl around in her snow white dress. Her sparkling white teeth stood out against her creamy tan skin. “Mommy, look at me; I’m so pretty and cute,” She giggled as her mom brushed away her blonde hair to watch her lovely daughter. “You are that my darling night angel,” Her father walked over and smiled down at her,” and the most rarest of angels in the world you are,” She stopped turning as a little black cat with violet eyes appeared,” “Misery, come celebrate our birthday kitty cat,” The cat walked over and rubbed against her legs looking into the girl’s bright green eyes. “Today is great! I wish my friend was here too! Look what he gave me!” She pulled out a little book with a white rose tucked in between. ”I love roses and now I can write!” Finally they calmed her down long enough to give her a present. “Here you go,” she opened it up just as the door slammed open. As she turned around a gun was pointed to her chest and the man grinned with such lust to kill. Her mom screamed and tried to jump in time but the pistol shot right through her chest. When she fell back the black cross in her hand fell to the ground. Her present, the cross necklace, laid stained with blood as horror filled screams and cries of sadness and misery pierced the sky. A little girl’s heart died that night and a white dress turned red.

White as snow on a cold fall night
As the moon glows full with light
Beneath her lays a pool of red
As if she’s already dead
In her mind it feels so black
But her heart is still in tacked
Breaths are shallow
And screams cut through her mind
Now the blood is on her hands
And the gun in mine

Hearts Ablaze

Watch your body burn
As the flames singe your skin
So beautiful the glow of the flames
The reflection of your eyes
I can see myself burning alongside
Within your eyes
Those blue oceans in which should cool
But instead I feel hot and inflamed
Gorgeous you are
The fiery death brings out so much beauty
Your blonde hair brightened
Showing off every highlight complexion just so smooth
So soft and touchable
I desired to join you
But my body froze
As my black eyes took in the sight
Oh so wonderful
I love you
that’s my excuse
Love drove me to abuse
Of myself and then of this scene
And all you can do is watch me
You don’t scream, you don’t hurt
You try to cry
But it wont work
The fires of my hair blaze across my face
And for once I wince but then im the same
Expressionless, awestruck, enjoying your pain
I love you
Even as your engulfed by flames
Even if its my stupid game
I tried to stop
I really did
But my craving was so intense
The soot and ash cover my skin
Escaping ember sparkles around
Finally your ignited completely
And all I can say is sorry
Never flinching and looking straight
Gazing at your skin being burned off
Along with bones and all
I love you
I really do
This is just how I express it
But my feelings are true
Love forever
Consumed by flames
You and me
Our hearts ablaze
