Hopeless: Chapter 13

Brook’s heart thumped hard against her chest and her head pounded from the fall to the ground. She finally came to, just to notice she wasn’t home. Images of scarlet blotches pouring out from the throat and those blue eyes glazing over, teared through her. The yellow blonde hair was dyed red as she chopped the poor souls body to pieces. The dyeing figure tried to speak out but blood replaced his words as it gushed out of his mouth. Brook’s head fell in to her hands in sobbing tears. Not again, always again. This time the one that always had a smile for her. Poor Colt didn’t deserve this. He had cared and loved Brook more then she’d ever allow. In the end it was all just to have her slit his throat and soak herself in his blood. She could still remember little bits of his last moments. Colt did nothing to stop her. He couldn’t bring himself to harm her so he let her kill him. “His fault,” Brook said trying to fool herself in to lies. For a moment she could even believe that he should of stopped her but then she realizes she shouldn’t of done it. Gathering back up her strength, She noticed the room around her was illuminated by flames of gold that accented the royal red walls. The room seemed so elegant, even the bed she laid on was decorated with brownish gold sheets of the finest Egyptian cotton. “West!” She pleaded, hoping there was a slight chance he was watching over her again. Brook knew there was no chance and the voice that spoke made her face the facts. “West isn’t here, Darling,” the soothing but dark voice answered her ever pleading question. Austin ran a hand through his thick blonde hair as he leaned next to the wall near the bed. “Why am I here?” She hissed as she scooted over the bed away from him. “Sweetie, Sweetie, chill…I won’t hurt you,” He stroked her cheek and she snapped at him, not at all reassured. “Be a good little demon witch,” Brook shook her head but kept her eyes glued on him and every move he made. She tried to not shake as she spoke again. “I ask once again, Why am I here?” Her words had little patience in them as she spoke. He smirked and Brook felt chills run up her spine. “Because I need you my love,” He lifted her chin to get her beautiful green eyes to meet his but she pulled away and he pinned her down. “You can try all you want to escape but those fabulous powers you’ve tried so hard to subdue will not work,” Her eyes grew big as she began to worry. Of all times they decided to be locked away. “That gorgeous cross around your neck…” He lifted it up with one of his fingers as she remained confused. “that locks your powers away. Your parents thought they were helping you but all they did was give us full control over your precious body,” He laughed as Brook twisted under his grip. She felt weak without her powers. “By killing them you continued to wear it and felt like you had no reason to live,” She closed her eyes shaking her head hoping everything he said was a lie. Austin brushed the bangs that strayed in front of her face and Brook flinched. “You should of stayed with your pet,” He growled as he gritted his teeth at the thought of West. Austin stood up letting his grip go and leaving her alone in the locked unfamiliar room. She turned over burying her face in the covers as she started to sob uncontrollable. She shivered as she came to realize everything. Brook was truly and utterly alone. No Bella worrying and telling her what not to do. No Fate’s cheerful attitude that Brook always managed to ruin. Not even Colt was there to flirt with her even though he would get his ass beat. For all Brook knew they were all dead. As she told herself this in her head, the tears just poured out in greater amounts. One thing above all seemed to cause her to completely give in. West wasn’t coming to save her this time or at least she kept saying over and over again. He never cared for her but still she hoped. She finally realized why he was always there. Brook felt weak, all he did was prevent anyone from seeing her break down and now she didn’t even have the strength to do it herself.

West destroyed everything in sight as he tore up the whole house. The door bell rang and he ripped the door off at the hinges. “What?!” Fate shook in fear but not for herself. Her stomach seemed a tad bit larger then last time. Bella pushed her aside and stood in front of her like a shield. “West, Brook didn’t leave you!” He growled and turned away from her. “She left me for that blonde bitch!” Bella risked laying a hand on his shoulder but the friendly gesture freaked him out and he lifted her up by the throat slamming her against the wall. “Don’t touch me!” Bella remained calm even compared to the frozen in shock Fate that did nothing. “He took her West! Against her will,” He eased his grip on her neck. She sighed as she caught her breath in relief. “How do you know?” his eyes lightened.
“I tried to find her position. She’s frightened, lonely, and wants you,” He put her down now only sadness in his eyes. “She doesn’t want me. She hates me,” Bella jumped in front of West too stubborn to just give up.
“You know that’s a lie! She depends on you more then anyone. We need your help to save her,” West looked up at Bella then turned to walk away to what was left of his room. “I’m not going!” He slammed his door and Bella sighed in defeat. “Fine fate it’s up to you and me,” Fate backed away grabbing her stomach in fear. Her eyes showed such horror. “I’m sorry Bells. I love Brook but what has she done for me…” Her face was full of guilt but she wasn’t going to take what she said back. Bella shook her head as Fate darted out the door. “I guess I’m on my own…Like always,” When she finally headed out the door, West came out of his room. “I’m sorry Bella but I’ll only cause trouble in the end,”
Brook clung to her knees close to her chest as she heard sobbing that defeated her own. Gathering enough courage, she got up and walked towards the sound of the pitiful cries. The closet? Brook grabbed the door knob and turned it to open it. The image before her was nothing she had expected or that would of even crossed her mind. The tawny figure with her blonde hair clingy to her skin. Dry blood covered her body and her eyes were blood shot. Emma shook cold and frightened. Who would of thought a vampire could look so scared. “Emma?” The blonde vamp looked up with relieved eyes. Her face had tiny streaks of a pinkish color but how? “Nathan…Austin’s brother…They, they did this to me…”Now Brook noticed Emma’s eyes. Once a golden color was now replaced with blue green etched in red. “They kept dosing me, Torturing me,” Brook grabbed Emma lightly and lifted her up. Her shirt slipped upward revealing cuts and stretch marks down her stomach. “I can’t live no more. Not like this,” She turned to Brook, pleading with her eyes. “Protect them please. They deserve something more then what I have given them,” Emma looked down at her stomach and at the huge gash in the middle of it. She dug her nails deep in, not once flinching as the stitches came undone. With one last smile and before Brook could even attempt to process what she was about to do, Emma ripped her stomach apart in an instant. Her eyes stayed opened as blood poured out along with the rest of her. Brook crushed one of Emma’s organs and had to stop from puking. She closed her eyes, begging for this to be a lie as the rotting scent already started to invade her senses. Protect them? Who were them? Slowly Brook crawled in to bed and hid her head underneath the covers, afraid that death might find her next. “West please come help me. I’m Sorry,” She thought she had ran out of tears but they came rolling out as they stung her skin. Brook fell asleep trying to wash away the images of the day. She didn’t expect West to come but she dreamed of him being there. Was she even worth the trouble? To her, She was not. Brook no longer wished to wake up, just continue to dream of a place where everyone’s happy, Even if it’s all a lie.

Sleep and fall deep
Into a land of no weep
Dream of a life were all is well
To hide the fact that you have failed
Even though the blood has dried
You still try to lie
It’s not happening
It can’t be true
Who really wants you
No one that’s who
So sleep away in a dream
Of a life where everyone else is happy

IMPOSSIBLE

Impossible, it is
To even consider love
The thought, the heart
Does it really exist
Or is it fiction
A word for fairy tale and books alike
For miserable poems that draw me with delight
Can thy truly say love
Are you for sure
How do you know what you feel
Have you felt it before
I surely doubt that they love
In fact, they just love the idea
To desire, the lust, the passion, you must
Anyone would fall for the thought
That love can be taught
It is stupid quite
That I always fight
Telling all my radical beliefs
That they never truly loved me
To be in love is different
To say I love can stand for a lot
No passion, no lust just caring is enough
Impossible, it is
To convince me of this
That your in love with me
Not realistic

Hopeless: Chapter 12

Bella laid against the bar sighing at all the worry free people dancing. Fate danced, almost attached, with Daniel. Usually Fate drank just about everything in sight but for some odd reason she avoided the bar as much as possible unlike Bella who preferred to have the drinks close at hand tonight. All of a sudden the door banged opened and everyone couldn’t help but stop. The moonlight shined down on the black haired temptress and her new devilish toy. Bella eyed the boy suspiciously and felt a ting of sadness for a probably lonely West. “You wanna nother drink Honey?” spoke a girlish guy voice that matched with the 5”9 skinny jeaned emo guy. “Hey Freddy,” She spoke. Freddy had multicolored tips on his gel infused jet black hair and those cute baby blue eyes that matched his personality. He swung his hand on his hip and smiled brightly like any queer would do. “Sweetheart cheer up. I’m sure everything will work out fabulously. Brook’s a clever and independent girl. She’ll make it out alive no matter what,” Freddy’s pep talk soothed her uneasy feelings and she sat up straighter. He waved bye to her and went to serve drinks to other under aged kids that came to the clubs. Bella’s at eased feeling soon faded as Brook approached with the next underwear model by the looks of it. “Hey Bells. Meet Austin,” She motioned towards him. Now Bella knew the guy was extremely sexy but just couldn’t get past that ominous feeling he gave off as he bowed as a greeting. When his eyes met hers they seemed to ripple like water. Where eyes suppose to do that? She shook her head. Bella defiantly didn’t like this guy around Brook. Brook noticed her distaste and growled grabbing Austin by the arm and leading him out to dance with her. Bella called West franticly. She just couldn’t get past the dark aura that surrounded him. Bella could almost scream in frustration when, of course, he didn’t answer so she left a message instead. “West…I know you might already know this but Brook’s here and with that new guy. I really would prefer if you came down here. You can keep her safe better then I can,” She tried to say calmly. Saying by and ending the message, She hung up.

West listened, ears perked at the message that Bella left. He grumbled and staggered as he tried to get up of the spot he was left at when Brook left. He grabbed the keys and got in Brook’s car. As he cranked it, he tried one last time to spot himself from leaving, knowing it can only end badly. “I really shouldn’t do this,” He pulled out, his last attempt to be saved from Misery failed. Misery starred after him, literally, as everyone left the violet eye cat in the pitch darkness.

Brook danced in the middle of the crowd, close and clinging to Austin with such desire. His hands half way up the excuse for a shirt as she turned away from him pushing deeper into him. He leaned his head in between her neck and shoulder sending shudders as his warm breath caught her skin on fire. She turned back to face him, his eyes devouring every inch of her lustful body. She closed her emerald eyes as he pulled her into him kissing her darkened pink lips and prying her mouth open with his tongue. She fell into his embrace, amazed he had such control over her. She melted into him, shocked but craving more of his touch.
West watched the whole thing with a clear eyes view. As Austin groped her, his whole try and be reasonable plan vanished in thin air. He watched as the snake moved his mouth down her neck inching ever so close to her chest and all the while knowing poor West watched with fury. His hands moved farther up her shirt and West couldn’t stand to watch no longer. Plowing through the crowd he yanked Austin to the ground making the people separate in shock. Austin dusted himself off and only snickered. Brook remained in a daze not sure how to react to the events taking place. West pulled Austin’s shirt and glared into his eyes with images of blowing him to pieces. Bella grabbed Brook as West pointed to the door and let Austin go. As they walked behind the bar, Austin grinned. “What is it West? Did I win again…” West looked at him confused and angry. AGAIN? Did he know him? “You always were a sore loser,” Austin frowned and shook his head. “Twelve years ago I had to do your job for,” West eyes widened as he realized who stood in front of him. A demon among demons almost like the devil himself. “You’re the one that caused her to do it! That caused her so much pain,” Austin grunted and rolled his eyes.
“Well you weren’t going to do it anytime soon. We had to awake her powers somehow,” West growled as his eyes became completely pitched. Austin gave a corrupted smile. “Now I’m the one that gets to be with the hellish beauty,” West froze up falling to his knees as he remembered his orders. He was suppose to get close to her, awaken her powers, and then he would get to rule with her by his side. Austin had been second in line to be chosen so now they were his orders. He had never been as skilled as West but had always been a better charmer. Austin noticed Brook standing still in a complete daze as she listened to her life story be told in ways she never imagined. He waited patiently for West to ruin every chance he ever had to be with her and to make him suffer even more. “How could I be the one to hold a gun to her chest? What if she died and the pain she went through,” He paused as Austin’s grin grew bigger as he laid all truth out. “It’s all my fault. I should of never took the deal,” He stood up, his eyes filled with untold sadness. “I should of never met her,” Brook tried to remain as calm as possible but it felt as if her whole life had just became meaningless. West had been the reason for her suffering all along and to top that off he didn’t even want to meet her. A single tear fell from her glassy green eyes but was quickly discarded. “That’s great to know,” She spoke blankly without a hint of any real emotion. His whole body shivered as he came to facts that she knew everything. “Brook…I’m Sorry,” She smiled sarcastically and cold. “How about I try to make one of your wishes come true,” She hisses as she walks away from him. Austin grabs her arm and her beautiful green eyes turn black. “THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!” She spat with venom lashing after every word. “My parents, my life, and my best friend,” She felt like crying as she spoke the last one. She sent a powerful gush of wind out from her pushing Austin to slam against the brick wall. As she fell to the ground she couldn’t help but hope that the blackness just stayed to consume her. When the last bit of her own self control evaporated, She just hoped West would be the one to help her.

Who’s at fault
Me of course
For ever believing I could trust you
Wanting you to stay
Desiring you to save
Even now knowing that everything was caused by you
I still can’t let you go
I have not a right mind to forgive you
That’s stupid though
You did this to me
But it’s my fault
For believing in you
